Maureen contacted us yesterday about her grandfather Robert Pask. In the 1901 census he was enumerated under the name of Pass, in Great Ringstead, Norfolk (RG13; Piece: 1881; Folio: 46; Page: 4). In the census, he was listed as aged 26 born in Frieston Lincolnshire, an Agricultural Labourer, living with his wife's family John & Jane M. Nobes. He was with his wife Gertrude A., and children Marie G., and Maud L.
Robert married Gertrude Alice Barnes and he died in Scarborough in 1946 at the age of 73. Gertrude moved back to Wisbech, and remarried in 1951 to Garner Wallis.
Maureen wrote that all his children's birth certificates state Pask. Maureen's mother was one of his 13 children.
