Edwin Robertson Prockter (1946-2019)

We have been advised, by several researchers, that sadly Edwin Prockter died on Thursday 9 May at Lincoln Hospital.

Edwin Robertson Prockter was born in 1946 in Forest Hill, Kent. He was the son of Claude William Prockter and Hilda Vera Pask (known as Vera). Edwin provided a superb photograph of his mother, and nine of her 13 siblings.

Edwin was the 5th great-grandson of Peter Pask, who was born in 1739, and married Catherine Frost in 1764.

Edwin was an assiduous researcher of the Pask family. We are eternally grateful for him sharing his discoveries so willingly.

Heart-felt sympathies to his wife Veronica, and their family. He will be missed incredibly.

Website Update 3 November 2018

The website was updated 3 November 2018. 46 new narratives have been added, and 260 changed, since the last website update on 2 September 2018. There are now a total of 12,555 detailed narratives available on the website and 20,131 people (60 new) in our database.

The focus of this website update was to identify those men who were killed in action in World War I, and II - Lest we forget. The Commonwealth War Graves Commission (CWGC) website showed that there were 52 PASK(E) men. These are now indicated with a poppy icon against their name.

In addition, more information was kindly provided by Vickie Eggers, on the German family Chart 82: Herman PASKE & his wife Johanna LERISUS, whose descendants immigrated to Wisconsin, USA. This also coincided with an obituary,
kindly transcribed by Denise Grant, that included other members of this PASKE family. There is a lot more on this family, and we will endeavour to include this information in the near future.

Website Update 2 September 2018 - Now Available

The website was updated 2 September 2018. However, due to the issues with website, I could not display the update. That has now been resolved - you may need to refresh your browser.

26 new narratives have been added, and 123 changed, since the last website update on 19 August 2018. There are now a total of 12,509 detailed narratives available on the website and 20,071 people (24 new) in our database.

There was a problem with the availability of the website since the last website update. This was due to the domain requiring changes to the site hosting. This has now been completed, and hopefully the website will not experience any further problems.

The focus of this website update was the Lincolnshire family of Henry PASK, and Elizabeth ASMAN, kindly provided by P. Bruce Stephenson. Several of their children immigrated to America in 1872, and settled in Orleans County, New York State. Whilst this family was detailed by the late Shirley Julie Amos née Pask in 2012, it was unbelievable how much new information has become available. For this website update, the focus was on page 7 of Shirley's Family Booklet of Henry and Elizabeth Pask of Lincolnshire. We plan to update other pages in future website updates.

In addition, Michael Neal provided valuable 1939 Register updates on the descendants of Walter and Rosetta PASK née RIXON.

Sincere thanks to all concerned with this latest website update.
