Pasks of Great Gonerby, Lincolnshire

We have just finalized the first of a series of books that will be published for the Pask Family Gathering to be held in Whepstead, Suffolk on Saturday July 26, 2008.

The book covers the PASKs of Great Gonerby in Lincolnshire - the descendants of John & Alice Pask née Woodcock who settled in Great Gonerby in the early 1790s. The book is 142 pages, and covers 8 generations, and 350+ descendants, including Professor Andrew Gordon Speedie Pask(1928-1928), and his brother Professor Edgar Alexander Pask (1912-1966). Also Barnabas Thomas Pask, John & Alice's grandson, known as Thomas, who signed the original conveyancing in 1857 of the Primitive Methodist Church in Great Gonerby.

There are detailed charts for the main families, minibiographies of approximately 350 people, together with 110 photographs.

The book has information on the Pask, Paske One-Name Study and a full index by surname and christian names of the people mentioned in the book.

This publication will be using the services of Lulu (http://www.lulu.com/). Lulu gives us the power to publish and sell books. There are no set-up fees. No minimum order. No delay. Lulu prints and ships each book as it's bought. We can easily revise the book by creating a new revision and republishing it.

The major advantage for family history purposes is that a revised PDF can be sent to LULU at any time and all subsequent copies are thereafter printed from this revised version. This means that corrections and additions can be made very easily.

Do check out Lulu website. The book is available in black & white at £6.85, or in superb colour at £17.78. Alternative you can download it for £3.50. There is a preview available, so that you can see whether it is of interest to you.
