This information relates to Chart 33, the descendants of Isaac Paske (1823 - 1888) of Raglan or Ragland, Monmouthshire, and Chart 34, the descendants of Philip Pask, (1768 - 1843) who lived in Bryngwyn, Monmouthshire.
Whilst researching the Monmouthshire families, I realised that there might be a connection between Isaac Paske who was a Shoemaker born in Raglan in 1823, and Philip Pask who was also a Shoemaker and lived in Raglan. In the 1841 census it shows, Philip a Cordwainer, living with his wife Mary, and children Jace?, John, Caroline, George, William, Elizabeth and Thomas. The census enumerator's writing was unclear and it was thought to be Jacob. However, it is now believed that what looks like Jace could be Isaac. The age ties up, and there is no further information on "Jace" found. Isaac moved to Cheltenham and can be found in the 1851-1881 censuses living with his wife Mary née Little, and their children Mary Jane, Caroline Ann, and Alexander.
I have ordered the marriage certificate of Isaac & Mary Pask née Little, and hopefully this will confirm my assumption. An alternative is to locate the will of his now assumed father Philip. Interestingly enough although Philip died in 1871, the will was not probated until 1906, 34 years' later.
In the meantime, I have merged the two records and the charts 33 & 34. In the next website update information on Isaac can be found against the current Jacob Paske.
