PASKs of Suffolk Volume II - Updated

This information relates to the main Suffolk tree - descendants of John & Mirabel Pask née Sparrow, in particular the descendants of their second son Daniel, and his wives Elizabeth Pask née Manning, and Mary Pask née Peachey.

The latest version of Suffolk Volume II is now available from http://www.lulu.com/product/paperback/pasks-of-suffolk-volume-ii---wickhambrook/14255167. There is an additional 51 pages and 41 photographs. The book is now 223 pages, with 101 photographs. This has increased the cost to 9.50, plus postage.

Currently Lulu are offering a 15% off all orders - Enter code: UKWEEK2 at checkout. This offer expires 12 December 2010. If you order now this should be delivered by Christmas.

2009 Guild Publication Awards

This year we entered the Pask, Paske blog, and also the publication PASKs of Lincolnshire Volume I - Great Gonerby into the prestigious Guild of One-Name Studies (GOONS) Publication Awards. There were a record number of 106 entries, and the standard was exceptionally high.

We are very proud to announce this blog won 1st prize, and the book was highly commended. Needless to say, we are delighted with the results.

Thank you everyone for your contributions to winning these awards - the success of the Pask One-Name Study depends entirely on your contributions.

Family Gathering in Great Gonerby - August 1981

This information relates to one of the Lincolnshire main families - John Pask (1760-1826), and Alice Woodcock (Stuart's own ancestors) who lived in Great Gonerby, Lincolnshire.

We received an e-mail from Gordon Beech today. He and his wife Betty have been able to identify some of the people on the back cover of the publication PASKs of Lincolnshire Volume I.

This information relates to one of the Lincolnshire main families - John Pask (1760-1826), and Alice Woodcock (Stuart's own ancestors) who lived in Great Gonerby, Lincolnshire.

The latest version of Suffolk Volume I is now available from the Lulu website. There is many additional pages and photographs. This has increased the cost to £9.50, plus postage. There is still time to order for Christmas.

  • Margaret Scourfield-Thomas née Pask - an update on her family information, and clarification of her surname Scourfield-Thomas, which is often indexed incorrection under the name of Thomas.
  • James Harvey for information on his great-grandmother Florence Ellen Harvey née Paske, and her descendants, including photographs of her, and her son, and grandson.
  • David Pask, for his detailed documented information, including photographs provided at the Pask Family Gathering, on the descendants of Ann Pask. This has resulted in a new section on the descendants of Harry & Beatrice Pask née Parker, and a revised section on Bertie Charles & Harriet Ellen Pask née Vince. I would like to thank everyone who have provided corrections, and new information, especially the photographs which add considerably to the books.
