Descendants of George & Charlotte Pask née Middleton

Whilst researching information on Walter Frederick & Mary Ellen Pask née Stones, it was identified that there were several families living in the Worksop area at that time. They were all descendants of George & Charlotte Pask née Middleton.

George originated from Kexby, Lincolnshire, and Charlotte from Gainsborough. Between 1871-1881 they moved to Styrrup in Nottinghamshire (in the Worksop Registration District). Altogether they had ten children:

  1. Mary Ann Pask b. 26 Oct 1865, d. 1956
  2. Eliza Pask b. 1867
  3. Ann Pask b. 1870, d. 1887
  4. George William Pask b. 1873
  5. John Henry Pask b. 28 Dec 1873, d. 27 Feb 1972
  6. Ellen Ada Pask b. 1876
  7. Elizabeth Pask b. 1878
  8. Walter Frederick Pask b. 1881, d. 1950
  9. Florence Ethel Pask b. 1885
  10. Charlotte Pask b. 1888
On Sunday (November 20), we visited Styrrup and the nearby mining village of Harworth. There is no graveyard in Styrrup, with most of the villagers being buried in the churchyard of All Saints, Harworth or the municipal cemetery.

From the National Burial Index, we had identified two burials - Annie (aged 17 buried 14 August 1887), and Gertrude (aged 2 days buried 5 February 1896). Unfortunately we were unable to locate either graves. However, fortunately we found the grave of John Henry & Maria Jane Pask née Read. John died at the age 0f 98, and Maria Jane at the age of 92.

Information on their family, and their descendants will be available in the next website update.
